COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course prepares students to become professional directors. It gives them the knowledge of analyzing plays, movies, theories and methods of blocking, movement and performance structure.
GOALS
This is a required course for the MA degree program in Theater Arts. The students explore script analysis, scene structure, prompt-scripts, character development and production organization.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon course completion, students will be able to:

Cast a production and structure rehearsals.

Study script and prepare the cast regarding concentration, memory of emotion, dramatic action, rhythm characterization and observation.

Coordinate the production organization (stage manager, set designer, costume designer, make-up artist, prop-person, cast, etc.)

Develop ‘Detail’ and finish rehearsal to stage the production.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
