COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course provides students with in-depth knowledge of using art in Theater productions. It explores the impact that Art make on every aspect of the performing Arts.
GOALS
This is a required course for the MA degree program in Theater Arts. The students learn to blend the colors to make staging exciting and believable. They learn to create sketches that blend mood, music, movement, costume and scenery.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
Show the development and use of Art in the Theater.
Show how Art impacts characters, audiences and the entire production.
Use colors to impact role development and Dramatic Action.
Discuss the use of Art, in World Theater, throughout the ages.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
