COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course is a continuation of Directing I exploring further the creative and problem-solving aspects of Directing plays for the Theater. It focuses on the quality of artistic thinking, striving to improve directorial skills.
GOALS
This is a required course for the BA degree program in Theater Arts. The students
explore methods of managing the cast and the production team, and go into depth dealing with rehearsal focusing mainly on Detail and Finish.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
Effect movement rehearsal.
Block the play, demanding bodily expressions.
Smooth rough edges of the play and solve problems with the production team.
Secure a proper, visible picture of the performance.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
