COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course explores elements of the Theater and their applications to basic dramatic and performing harmony. It gives a general overviews of the Theatrical Arts and it investigates the role of Theater in Society.
GOALS
This is a required course for the BA degree program in Theater Arts. The students gain valuable information about the Theater as they experience, through visuals and dramatic Action, the rhythm and power of the Theater.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
Explain how Theater appeals, openly, to the emotion.
Show the development and changes in theatrical presentations from Ancient Greece to present day.
Explore how drama impacts society.
Understand Theater as a medium of story-telling.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
