COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course explores oral interpretations and the refinement of abilities to convey thought and emotion to audiences.
GOALS
This is a required course for the BA degree program in Theater Arts. The students lean methods of presenting literary works by delving into the action, energy, tactics, personalization and circumstance of a role.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
Define the essentials of role development.
Explore methods of interpreting the work and the role.
Make creative use of voice, movement, body and make-up to bring reality to a role.
Connect the players and audience to the role.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
