COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course deals with the principles, procedures and organizational trends that have shaped the Theater from antiquity to present time. It expresses the personal, social and creative factors that give life to drama.

GOALS

This is a required course for the BA degree program in Theater Arts. The students explore all facets of the Theater throughout the ages, studying the Actors, Writers, scenery and politics of specific periods.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon course completion, students will be able to:

Define the life of Theater.

Explain the development and its changes.

Show the importance of the Theater in social life.

Show differences in theatrical presentations during certain periods.

 

COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study. 

COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
