COURSE DESCRIPTION
PSY 442 will explore the nature of primary and secondary drives. A study will be made of the concept of motivation in relation to behavior, learning and performance. The physiological and social aspects of emotion, emotional needs and emotional expression will be examined.
COURSE GOALS
· The student will understand the differences between needs, drives, and levels of drives
· The student will understand the physiological and social aspects of emotion

The student will find information and research support for each of the topics listed under Project.
PROJECT
Write a paper to include definitions, research support, and examples in the following areas: 20-25 pages. Cite sources.

COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
