COURSE DESCRIPTION
PSY 430 provides
an overview of Statistical processes, to include: Descriptive
statistics, probability, distributions, samplings, estimation and
confidence intervals, tests of hypotheses, linear regression, and
correlation.
COURSE GOALS:
At the conclusion of PSY 430 the student
will have an overall knowledge of statistical methods and their
use.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS AND EVALUATION:
The student is expected to read all materials, complete problems,
and exercises at the end of each chapter and demonstrate knowledge
of the use and purpose of business statistics. Submit answers and
all computations to the University.

RECOMMENDED
RESOURCES:
The assigned text should be sufficient
to provide the information and instruction needed. Further
assistance could be found in a Dictionary of Mathematical Terms or
in any variety of Textbooks on Statistics.
EXAM
There will be one written exam, provided
by the Instructor when all written coursework has been completed.
It will be an open-book exam consisting of practical statistical
problems. The student will have one week after receiving the exam
to complete the exam and return it to the Instructor. –

COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning
medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
