COURSE DESCRIPTION:
An advanced topics course that will cover international trade theory, the opening up of trade and free trade international agreements, the arguments both pro and con for trade liberalization or trade management. Also considered will be current issues of trade
imbalances as well as the long sustained and mounting U.S. trade deficits, the operation of foreign markets and international monetary arrangements. The changing roles of the World Bank and the
International Monetary Fund will be critically assessed.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
